Mental health:  

The NSW Mental Health Line is a 24/7 statewide telephone service that connects people with NSW Health mental health services. It is available by calling 1800 011 511. This free service provides mental health advice, referrals to local services, and support from trained mental health professionals.

DVConnect Womensline is a statewide telephone service offering free professional and non-judgemental telephone support to women who are experiencing domestic or family violence. They can help women to obtain safe refuge accommodation, confidential counselling and referral to other services. (24 hours a day, 7 days a week)

DVConnect Mensline is a statewide telephone service offering free confidential counselling, referral and support to men affected by domestic and family violence. (9am to 12 midnight, 7 days a week)

Mental Health:

 Here's how you can get support across different states and territories in Australia: VIC — call Lifeline on 13 11 14, Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467. 


Domestic Violence: 

Safe Steps is available to support people in Victoria who are experiencing or at risk of experiencing family violence. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, please call 1800 015 188 or try their live web chat service available 9am-9pm, Monday - Friday. Chats are anonymous and accessible to anyone experiencing violence or concerned about the welfare of a loved one. More information can be found on the Safe Steps website. The Orange Door provides help for people experiencing family violence, or who need assistance with the care and wellbeing of children and young people. Addiction Recovery:

 For advice and referral to AOD treatment and programs, call DirectLine (Tel. 1800 888 236) – Victoria's free and confidential 24-hour counselling phone line. For information and advice about treatment and programs specifically for young people, call the Youth Drug and Alcohol Advice (YoDAA) line 1800 458 685. 

 

South Australia

 Mental Health: 

Emergency – 13 14 65

For assistance in a mental health emergency, contact the mental health triage service - telephone 13 14 65, available 24 hours, seven days a week statewide.


Domestic Violence: 

Women

  • Call the 24 hour Domestic Violence Crisis Line on 1800 800 098 for crisis counselling, support and referral to safe accommodation.
  • 1800RESPECT - phone 1800 737 732 for sexual assault, domestic and family violence counselling.
  • Women's Information Service - phone 8303 0590 for referrals to domestic violence services and for safety information.
  • The bilingual bicultural staff of Migrant Women's Support Program (MWSP) work with migrant women and children of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds in unsafe relationships - phone 8152 9260 or contact@womenssafetyservices.com.au, Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. 

Men

  • MensLine Australia - phone 1300 78 99 78 to manage conflict and anger, relationship issues and violence in the home.
  • 1800RESPECT - phone 1800 737 732 for sexual assault, domestic and family violence counselling.
  • Men's Referral Service - phone 1300 766 491 - works with men who use family violence, and the sector that supports them to change their abusive and violent behaviour.


Addiction Recovery: 

A confidential telephone counselling, information and referral service for the general public, concerned family and friends, students and health professionals.

Mental Health: 

he Mental Health Emergency Response Line (MHERL) is a 24-hour telephone service for people in the Perth metropolitan area experiencing a mental health crisis but is not an emergency service. 

In an emergency call Triple Zero (000).

MHERL provides contact with a trained mental health clinician

  • mental health assessment
  • crisis support, crisis planning and brief intervention
  • mental health system navigation
  • mental health information and advice
  • referral to a mental health or emergency service when more than telephone support is required.

The service aims to keep people safe during a mental health crisis by connecting them with appropriate support services.
